Hinterman Hand Bookbinding & Book Repair is a small, independent bindery dedicated to heirloom preservation and custom bookbinding.

My work centers on books that carry meaning—volumes marked by use, memory, and time. Using traditional techniques and archival-quality materials, I approach each project with respect for the book’s original structure, character, and history.

Whether repairing a well-loved family book or creating a custom binding for a collector, my goal is the same: to produce work that is functional, timeless, and worthy of care for generations to come.

Each book is handled personally, without shortcuts or mass production, ensuring the attention and discretion these objects deserve.
